Position Overview

The OptiMinds Inc. is seeking an experienced Scheduler IV to support large-scale construction programs. This role is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining project schedules, conducting cost and risk analysis, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the preparation of detailed project schedules aligned with execution strategies
  • Review contractor schedules for compliance with contract requirements and quality standards
  • Evaluate change orders and amendments for impacts on schedule and budget
  • Perform time impact analysis for project delays and claims
  • Participate in change order negotiations
  • Conduct Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value analysis
  • Identify scheduling issues and recommend corrective actions and innovative solutions
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and prepare accurate progress reports
  • Review contractor schedule updates and prepare executive-level reporting summaries
  • Evaluate recovery schedules and recommend improvements
  • Support cost analysis efforts during design and construction phases
  • Analyze actual expenditures against project budgets
  • Develop cost-loaded schedules to support cash flow projections
  • Interpret contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels
  • Work across multiple project sites based on assignment needs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project/program scheduling on large construction programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Additional relevant experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera (P6) Scheduling Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of cost engineering, scheduling principles, and construction project controls
  • Proven experience in time impact analysis, construction claims and change orders
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-project environments
  • Flexibility to travel to multiple project sites
