Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, that serves as a regional health care resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. Responsible for performing a variety of diverse functions related to the scheduling of clinical diagnostic testing, including but not limited to; the update and maintenance of computerized and manual systems used in the Clinical Diagnostics Department, maintenance of the physician order form system, verification of all necessary pre-authorizations, referrals and insurance, patient communication and order processing and assisting patient with any questions they may have regarding their procedure(s) and providing a pleasant environment for patients, families and visitors. The incumbent must be responsible and maintain confidentiality of information at all times. The incumbent must demonstrate confidence in their knowledge and abilities.
