Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Bay City, MI is seeking a patient services associate to set up exams and procedures, handle inquiries, and collect accurate patient and insurance information.

You will schedule appointments, review intake forms, educate patients on prep steps, and maintain patient records in compliance with site protocols. Full-time hours are 8a-5p, no on-call.

Two years healthcare experience and scheduling background preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior scheduling experience preferred.
• Two years of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service by answering incoming phone calls or contacting patients to determine the appropriate exam/test/procedure and schedule the patient appropriately.
• Review screenings, and obtain/verify patient and insurance information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure best possible customer service by educating the patient on exam/test/procedure preparation and answering related questions.
• Update patient records, including notes for the technologist, patient, or future reference.
• Follow site-specific protocols and keep protocol documentation up-to-date to ensure compliance.
