Christie Clinic’s Cardiology Diagnostics team is seeking a part-time Scheduler to support the Champaign clinic. You will schedule procedures and appointments, answer phones, and assist with prior authorizations in a friendly, patient-focused environment.

The role is 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–12:00pm, with no nights or weekends. Benefit eligibility applies and the position is located in Champaign, IL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Experience getting prior authorizations and patient insurance benefits helpful.
• Microsoft Office experience beneficial.
• Electronic medical record systems experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Triage calls as appropriate.
• Schedule tests, procedures and surgeries and coordinate with outside organizations.

Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity is also required.**TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:**Work is performed in the reception area and involves frequent contact with patients. Most contact with patients is via the phone.
