Job summary

County of El Paso is seeking a Swift Certain Fair (SCF) Supervision Officer to supervise DWI defendants and manage casework under the SCF grant. The role ensures compliance with release conditions and provides timely information to courts and attorneys.

Responsibilities include monitoring court compliance, coordinating services, and performing assessments while collaborating with social agencies; bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred and occasional non-standard hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of community services and resources for this target population.
• Experience in casework, counseling, or customer service with good interviewing skills.
• Understanding PR bond requirements and court processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage several tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise those released on personal recognizance or with release bond conditions.
• Monitor compliance with court orders; coordinate services and follow up as needed.
• Refer and follow up with persons released to ensure attendance at court dates.
• Administer drug/alcohol screening and schedule urine sample collection.
• Appear in court and report on supervision performance.
• Coordinate mental health treatment verification and rehabilitation participation.
• Monitor and respond to alcohol monitoring device violations.
• Collaborate with social agencies and contribute to program improvements.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and stay updated on field trends.
• Maintain high ethical standards and conduct; assist in team building and mentoring.
• Substitute for supervisor during absences; provide excellent customer service.
