Job summary

Sentry is seeking a Scanning & Distribution Technician for our Stevens Point, WI office. You will support the Enterprise Scanning and Mail Services group, sorting, scanning and distributing mail, and maintaining hard-copy mail records according to procedures.

The role involves operating mailroom equipment, vehicle-based mail pickup, and processing outgoing packages with attention to accuracy and safety. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with opportunity for growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to accurately and efficiently enter and verify data on a PC.
• Previous data entry experience beneficial.
• Ability to understand postal scales and rates.
• Mechanical skills to aid in equipment issues.
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and great interpersonal skills.
• Ability to push/pull carts weighing between 10 - 300 lbs.
• Lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including an opener, photocopier, scanner and other machines.
• Prepare, verify, sort, scan and distribute mail; handle unidentified mail and non-scanable items.
• Use company vehicles to pick up incoming mail and distribute between Sentry buildings.
• Unpack orders, verify quantities, identify damaged shipments and process outgoing packages.
