Job summary

Belgian Yum is seeking an Operations & Production Manager to lead daily production and scale our bakery operations in Napa, CA.

You will optimize workflows, implement SOPs for consistency and food safety, manage a 2–5 person team, and drive throughput while preparing for a transition to a commercial kitchen environment.

This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-growing food company, with early morning production, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in food production, bakery, or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of process optimization and workflow management.
• Experience managing small teams (2–5 people).
• Knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe/HACCP preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations: oversee batching, baking, cooling, packaging to ensure quality and output.
• Drive efficiency and throughput: improve processes without compromising quality.
• Manage and develop team: train and lead production staff, ensure accountability and culture.
• Implement operational systems: create and enforce SOPs for consistency, food safety, scalability.
• Inventory and supply management: monitor ingredients and packaging to prevent shortages or delays.
• Prepare for scale: support transition into commercial kitchen and future automation.
