Job summary

IGE Performance Chemicals is seeking an experienced Chemical Process Engineer to drive scale-up from R&D to pilot production and mass manufacturing. The role partners with customers to tailor processes and improve infrastructure, while implementing safety measures throughout scale-up.

Strong CAD and analytical chemistry expertise are essential. The engineer will refine internal processes, design pilot setups, and collaborate across R&D to ensure safe, efficient production of new chemical

Qualifications

At least 5 years of Chemical Engineering experience.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering required.
Proficient in analytical chemistry techniques.
Hands-on experience with test units and prototypes.
Familiarity with reactors, filtration units, hydrogenation units, distillation units, and dryers.
Experience with CFD simulation tools such as COMSOL is preferred.
Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, etc.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assemble reactors, heating units, piping, and infrastructure for chemical reactions.
Lead design setup and procurement of manufacturing equipment.
Lead the design of pilot scale production process.
Conduct research for new products to be synthesized.
Order precursors and raw materials for synthesis.
Assist in laboratory testing of raw material and finished products.
Collaborate with R&D to create SOPs and safety procedures.
