Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Scale Attendant for a high-traffic Energy-from-Waste facility. The role focuses on monitoring inbound/outbound truck activity, weighing loads, and collecting driver information using the Origin & Destination form.

You will enter data into internal systems, maintain scale tickets and manifests, and communicate updates to internal departments while ensuring site safety and DEP compliance. Strong organization and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in administrative, clerical, or accounting roles.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with records management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all inbound and outbound truck activity; accurately weigh and document each load.
• Collect and verify information from drivers using the Origin & Destination (O&D) form; ensure all load contents are appropriate and compliant.
• Enter truck and load information into internal computer systems.
• Maintain accurate records of scale tickets, manifests, and related documentation.
• Communicate relevant tonnage and operational updates to internal departments.
• Ensure DEP regulations and site safety rules, including PPE requirements.
• Perform routine Scale House walkdowns and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
• Handle special projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Provide customer service to drivers, vendors, and the public, including answering phones and sharing operational information.
• Promptly report any operational issues or irregularities to the supervisor.
