Job summary

Reworld is seeking a reliable Scale Attendant for a high-traffic Energy-from-Waste facility. You will monitor inbound/outbound truck activity, weigh loads, and verify driver information while maintaining accurate records and providing helpful customer service.

Responsibilities include ensuring DEP compliance, performing scale house walkdowns, and supporting supervisors with special projects. A HS diploma and 1–3 years of related experience are required; health and retirement benefits accompany

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in administrative, clerical, or accounting roles.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with records management systems is a plus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inbound and outbound truck activity; weigh and document each load.
• Collect and verify information from drivers using the Origin & Destination form; ensure load contents are compliant.
• Enter truck and load information into internal systems.
• Maintain records of scale tickets, manifests, and related documentation.
• Communicate tonnage and updates to internal departments.
• Ensure drivers comply with DEP regulations and site safety rules.
• Perform Scale House walkdowns and keep the area clean and orderly.
• Handle special projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Provide customer service to drivers, vendors, and the public, including answering phones and sharing operational information.
• Promptly report any operational issues or irregularities to the supervisor.
