Responsibilities include ensuring safety, operating forklifts and skid steers, maintaining records, and communicating with customers and management. Required are a high school diploma or GED and strong math/data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; must be at least 18.
• Experience in scrap industry preferred.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and data entry skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to climb ladders or steps.

Responsibilities

• Weight inbound and outbound vehicles and inspect loads.
• Direct loads to unloading areas and prepare shipment paperwork.
• Operate and maintain mobile equipment including forklifts and skid steers.
• Maintain scale house and grounds; ensure accuracy of materials data.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and training to the team.
• Answer questions about materials, pricing, and procedures.
• Maintain records and communicate with carriers and customers.
