Job summary

CRH is hiring a Scale Floater to support aggregate, asphalt, and construction-material operations across multiple locations in the Northern Wasatch Front. You will operate scales, process transactions, issue tickets, and provide excellent customer service to drivers, contractors, and customers.

The role also involves assisting dispatch, logistics, and production scheduling, plus data entry and clerical tasks. Ability to travel between sites and a flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years experience in scale operations, customer service, admin support, logistics, trucking or related industry.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Ability to travel between locations and work flexible schedules as needed.
• Experience in aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix, heavy civil construction, or trucking operations preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write clear correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck scales and accurately process inbound/outbound material transactions.
• Generate scale tickets, delivery docs, invoices, and related records.
• Provide professional customer service to drivers, contractors, vendors, and customers.
• Support dispatch, trucking logistics, and production scheduling activities.
• Maintain accurate data entry, reporting, and daily transaction reconciliations.
• Assist plant/operations with administrative and clerical tasks.
• Follow all safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide scale house/office coverage at multiple locations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with plant personnel, dispatchers, and customers.
