PowerForce Recycling is seeking a dependable Scale Operator to join our team. You will weigh inbound/outbound materials, process payments, and serve customers as the first point of contact.

This role supports accurate documentation and safe operation while handling daily transactions in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Applicants should be detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and be able to multitask.

Qualifications

• Experience as cashier or in customer service preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills and cash-handling experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual; forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and platform scales accurately.
• Weigh and process inbound and outbound materials.
• Assist customers with transactions and questions.
• Process cash, credit card, and business accounts.
• Issue scale tickets and receipts.
• Verify material descriptions and customer information.
• Maintain records using company software.
• Direct customer traffic and coordinate with yard staff.
• Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-day reports.
• Keep scale house clean, organized, and safe.
• Report equipment issues and maintain supplies.
