Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in an office, scale house, shipping and receiving, or data-entry positions preferred but not required.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and computer-based systems.
• Ability to accurately enter and maintain transaction and customer information.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with direction.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with truck drivers, customers, vendors, plant employees, and management.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck scales and accurately weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Enter weights, material descriptions, customer information, and transaction details into the company's scale system.
• Create, print, distribute, and maintain accurate scale tickets and transaction records.
• Verify load information, purchase orders, shipping paperwork, and other required documentation for accuracy.
• Communicate professionally with drivers, customers, vendors, and plant personnel regarding loads, weights, material information, and discrepancies.
• Direct incoming and outgoing trucks and coordinate with plant personnel to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow.
• Maintain organized and accurate electronic and paper records related to scale transactions.
• Assist with driver and customer check-in, answering phones and emails, and other general office duties as needed.
• Identify and promptly report discrepancies involving weights, tickets, pricing, customer information, or material descriptions.
• Follow company procedures for purchasing, receiving, shipping, and documenting recyclable materials.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and organized scale office and work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support daily plant and administrative operations.
