Responsibilities

• Ensure trucks leaving the scales are at a safe and legal weight compliant with AdvanSix and USDA guidelines.
• Log information for each truck, including vehicle type, tags, and driver.
• Record data accurately for billing purposes.
• Maintain scale accuracy and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Interact with vendors, truck drivers, and customers.
• Weigh inbound/outbound trucks and containers.
• Organize and manage shipping paperwork for inbound trucks.
• Capture required information from drivers on the scale.
• Operate company inventory management and truck scale software.
• Scan shipping documents as appropriate.
• Track release numbers.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.

Position Summary:

Working at our Hopewell, VA weigh / scale facility, the weighmaster will be responsible for the organization of shipping paperwork and managing inbound/outbound truck scale traffic to AdvanSix facilities as well as other local company facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure trucks leaving the scales are at a safe and legal weight in compliance with guidelines set forth by AdvanSix and the Department of Agriculture
• Logging information relevant to each truck, including vehicle type, tags, and driver.
• Accurately record data for billing purposes.
• Maintain the accuracy of the scales and coordinate scale preventive maintenance
• Must work well with vendors, truck drivers, and customers
• Must be responsible, punctual, productive, organized, work well under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Weigh all inbound/outbound trucks and containers
• Organize and manage shipping paperwork for inbound trucks
• Capture required information from drivers while on the scale
• Work comfortably within the Company’s inventory management and truck scale software
• Scan all shipping documents as appropriate
• Keep track of Company release numbers
• Assist with other projects as assigned in addition to regular job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

Additional Qualifications:

• Warehouse/Trucking knowledge

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00
