Job summary

Mesa County is seeking a frontline customer service representative at the Solid Waste Management Campus. You will check in and out customers, collect payments, and provide information on services, programs, and activities.

You will operate the landfill scale, computer, and cash register, determine and collect disposal fees, and ensure policies are followed. The role also includes janitorial duties and regular safety checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of customer service experience or similar.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Check in customers, check out customers, and collect payment.
• Provide general information on Mesa County Solid Waste services and policies.
• Operate landfill scale, cash register, and related office equipment; log data and fees.
• Maintain cleanliness around the scale house and surrounding areas; perform required janitorial duties.
