Job summary

Mesa County Solid Waste Management Campus is seeking a Frontline Customer Service Associate to welcome visitors, check in/out customers, and collect payments while guiding residents on available services and programs.

The role also involves operating the scale, computer, and cash register, determining fees, enforcing policy, and maintaining a clean, orderly facility. A high school diploma and 6 months of customer service experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months similar experience in customer service.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Check in customers and check out customers and collect payment.
• Provide general information to residents regarding all Mesa County Solid Waste Management services.
• Maintain cleanliness of the scale house or fee station and surrounding areas.
• Operate landfill scale, computer, cash register and related office equipment.
• Determine applicable fees and direct customers to disposal areas.
• Answer questions related to policies and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/County regulations.
• Provide daily transaction reports for cash and credit transactions.
• Lock/unlock facilities and perform weekly janitorial duties.
• Perform grounds maintenance outside of scale house.
