Job summary

Mesa County is seeking a frontline Customer Service Clerk at the Solid Waste Management Campus to assist residents at the scale house and fee station. You will verify loads meet drop-off requirements, collect payments, and answer questions about division policies and procedures.

The role involves operating the landfill scale, cash register, and related office equipment, calculating fees, and directing customers to disposal or pickup areas. 40 hours/week, Tue-Sat, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months similar experience in customer service.
• Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline customer service at Mesa County Solid Waste Management Campus.
• Check in and check out customers and collect payments.
• Provide information to residents regarding services, programs, and activities.
