Job summary

BrandSafway in Sweeny, TX is seeking an experienced Scaffold Leadman for maintenance projects. You will lead a crew through erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolds with a strong safety focus.

The role requires leadership, scaffold-building expertise, and the ability to read drawings and work orders while ensuring compliance with OSHA, project specs, and company standards. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with field take-off, material requisitions, logistics, and effective pre-job planning.
• Minimum five years in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew during erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffold systems.
• Read and interpret scaffold drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor crew productivity and quality of work.
• Inspect scaffold components to meet safety and quality standards.
• Ensure scaffolds comply with OSHA regulations and customer requirements.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and reinforce proper PPE use.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment with supervisors.
• Perform scaffold inspections and address hazards or deficiencies.
• Train and mentor scaffold builders to improve skills and safety awareness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
