Job summary

BrandSafway in Orange, TX is seeking an experienced Scaffold Leadman to guide a crew in the safe erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding on industrial construction and maintenance projects.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, extensive scaffold-building experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity while complying with project specs and company standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in scaffolding or related field.
• Experience leading crews in industrial construction.
• Ability to read scaffold drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of OSHA scaffold regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and schedules.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
• Background checks and safety orientation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew during erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffold systems.
• Read and interpret scaffold drawings, blueprints, and work orders for accurate installation.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor crew productivity and quality of work.
• Inspect scaffold components to meet safety and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and customer requirements.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and reinforce proper PPE use.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment with supervisors to support schedules.
• Perform scaffold inspections and address hazards or deficiencies.
• Train and mentor scaffold builders to improve skills and safety awareness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
