Job summary

Terabase Energy is seeking a SCADA Technician to support the configuration, troubleshooting and commissioning of instrumentation, communications, and SCADA devices during production and on-site after delivery.

You will contribute to zero-failure goals by supporting continuous improvement and operability of SCADA-related systems, including network setup, FAT execution, and warranty activities across multiple sites in the US.

Qualifications

• Travel 40-60% to customer sites and facilities.
• IT certifications (A+, Network+ or CCNA) or 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot Network layers 1,2 issues and capture/analyze packets.
• Capable of lifting and mounting equipment for racks and MET stations.
• Adherence to safety standards and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of fiber and Ethernet tech, protocols and patching.
• Understanding LAN protocols TCP/IP, LLDP, CDP, STP, ICMP, ARP, DNS, DHCP.
• Familiarity with Modbus-TCP, DNP3, OPC-UA, IEC 61850 and ICCP.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire SCADA racks and MET stations.
• Configure network and instrumentation devices per design.
• Support FAT setup and document test results.
• Troubleshoot network and device connectivity issues (Putty/Wireshark helpful).
• Travel to US sites for pre-commissioning, commissioning and warranty support.
• Inspect installations and complete commissioning documentation.
