Job summary

Terabase Energy is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to configure, maintain, and operate MES, PLCs, and network infrastructure across our solar construction projects in the continental US. You will serve as the on-site technical lead, troubleshoot issues, and train users.

Collaborate with operations and design engineers, document procedures, and stay ahead of emerging automation trends. Requires 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial ops and a relevant bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

5+ years in manufacturing, industrial/utility field ops, system admin, or related field.
In-depth MES, PLC, network management, and hardware/software systems knowledge.
Proven ability to isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in networked systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication with technical and non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and operate MES, PLCs, network infrastructure, and related systems.
Collaborate with operations and engineering to ensure systems run efficiently.
Troubleshoot as on-site technical lead and escalate Tier 2 when needed.
Work with maintenance technician on servicing and repairs.
Provide training and support to operations users.
Develop and implement system upgrades with other engineers.
Document system design, installation, and maintenance procedures.
Stay current with trends and technologies in field systems.
