Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Distribution Management System support engineer to maintain and improve the reliability of the electric distribution network. The role provides 24x7 operational support for the GE Vernova SCADA suite, user access, database support, RTU polling, and ICCP communications within the Distribution Management environment.

You will collaborate with distribution operators, field personnel and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and deliver tools and reports

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise IT systems in an electric utility environment.
• Strong understanding of SCADA, distribution operations, and IT security concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot, implement enhancements, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 operational support for GE Vernova SCADA and related systems.
• Administer access, support databases, and manage RTU polling and ICCP comms.
• Develop tools interfaces and reports for operational data sharing.
• Collaborate with operators, field personnel and vendors to resolve issues.
