Job summary

Georgia Power, a major electric utility, seeks an IT professional to support its Distribution Management System and SCADA environment. You will help ensure availability and reliability of critical control systems, manage access, and troubleshoot complex incidents across Windows and Linux servers.

Responsibilities include enhancing data acquisition, integrating vendor tools, and delivering operational reports to multiple teams. Travel and on-call duties are involved to maintain system integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise IT and SCADA environments.
• Strong understanding of operational concepts and computer technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot, administer access, and support data acquisition via RTU polling and ICCP communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 operational support for GE Vernova SCADA suite and related systems.
• Collaborate with operators, field personnel, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
• Develop tools, interfaces, and reports to deliver operational data across departments.
