Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a commissioning-focused professional to support pre-commissioning and commissioning of communications systems for utility-scale solar projects.

The role requires onsite presence at job sites with partial remote work and involves coordinating with engineering, construction, and QA teams. The candidate should have 3–5 years of commissioning experience, strong knowledge of solar PV systems and networking, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience commissioning utility-scale solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with networking and communications systems in industrial environments.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site-specific commissioning plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA teams to align on commissioning activities.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests (performance, functional, reliability) of communications systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues to optimize SCADA/site communications performance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports with test results and corrective actions.
• Support safety programs and ensure adherence to SOPs and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
