Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a commissioning professional to support pre-commissioning and commissioning of SCADA and communications for utility-scale solar projects in the United States.

The role is hybrid with onsite presence on job sites and partial remote work, and requires coordination with engineering, construction and quality teams. Responsibilities include testing, documentation of results, ensuring compliance with NFPA/NEC and IEEE/IES standards, troubleshooting issues, and contributing

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience commissioning utility-scale solar power projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking and communications systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to interpret Electrical and Mechanical Drawings/Schematics
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site commissioning plans and adhere to schedules.
• Coordinate with project teams (engineering, construction, QA, SCADA) for commissioning activities.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests (performance, functional, reliability).
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with NFPA/NEC, IEEE/IES/API standards.
• Troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal SCADA and site communications performance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports with test results and corrective actions.
• Contribute to process improvement from completed projects.
• Support safety programs and site team in regulatory compliance.
• Assist in installation and testing of fiber, ethernet and serial communications.
