Job summary

Durham County Government is seeking a SCADA Technician to install, maintain and repair SCADA hardware, PLCs and related control systems at the Triangle Wastewater Treatment Plant and associated facilities. You will work independently under supervision and contribute to reliable operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an instrumentation apprenticeship or equivalent, and certifications in NC Biological Wastewater Grade I and Collections Grade I within a year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-year instrumentation apprenticeship or 4+ years related experience is expected.
• Must obtain NC Biological Wastewater Grade I Operator and Collections Grade I Operator within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs SCADA and PLC equipment and control systems.
• Maintains motors, gearboxes, pumps and related plant equipment.
• Enters maintenance data into CMMS and supports safety procedures.
