Job summary

Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County is seeking a SCADA/Instrumentation Technician I to install, maintain, and repair control systems across treatment plants and pumping stations. The role requires knowledge of SCADA, instrumentation, electrical control systems, and AutoCAD drawing interpretation.

Associates/Technical degree in electronics or related field is required; NC Grade II Wastewater Operator certification or the ability to obtain it is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree in electronics, instrumentation, or related field.
• Experience with electrical control systems and instrumentation.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Forklift operation and safety competencies beneficial.
• NC Grade II Wastewater Operator certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair process measurement and control systems.
• Operate SCADA, instrumentation, and electrical control equipment.
• Read drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
• Diagnose issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Coordinate with engineers and regulatory representatives as needed.
