Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks an Associate Engineer to assist with planning, coordinating, and performing engineering assignments for wireless data telecommunications systems supporting electric operations. You will work closely with senior staff to build foundational knowledge of distribution automation networks and related technologies.

The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and adaptability, with 0–3 years experience and travel up to 20% across MA/CT/NH.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or related discipline.
0–3 years of experience in wireless SCADA data telecommunications preferred.
Willingness to learn new technologies for utility operations.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from senior staff.

Responsibilities

Assist planning, coordination and engineering assignments for wireless data telecom systems.
Support design, implementation and operation of wireless SCADA data systems for electric operations.
Provide field support for wireless telecom assets and infrastructure.
Analyze wireless SCADA data and troubleshoot data applications.
Assist with configuration and interfacing of SCADA equipment to RTU devices.
Learn and comply with IEEE, IEC, NERC and company standards.
