Job summary

Carolina Cat is seeking a dynamic SCADA Integration Field Service Engineer to support AES group. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain SCADA systems in field settings across data centers, energy, healthcare, and utilities.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of SCADA experience, proficiency with Aveva/Wonderware, GE Quick Panel, and Red Lion, and hands-on automation expertise. Travel will be required to client sites; strong safety and documentation practices are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Electrical/Automation engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years with SCADA systems, industrial automation, or field service.
• Proficiency with SCADA platforms (Wonderware/AVEVA, GE Quick Panel, Red Lion).
• Experience with PLCs and programming (GE RX7i/LM90-30, EcoStruxure, M580).
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic skills, and teamwork.
• Experience with Ethernet, serial, TCP/IP, and Modbus.
• Willingness to travel and work in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, test and commission SCADA systems at customer sites.
• Design and maintain SCADA hardware/software installations.
• Integrate SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, sensors, and networks.
• Provide technical support and issue resolution for SCADA systems.
• Document system configurations and changes.
• Stay updated on SCADA technologies and apply improvements.
