Job summary

Deriva Energy in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for data centers and renewable assets. The role requires strong technical acumen and cross-functional collaboration to ensure optimal system performance.

Travel up to 10% and a 24/7 on-call rotation are part of the job. On-site support with hybrid work arrangements after onboarding, and exposure to OT equipment like SCADA, RTU, PLC, and HMIs.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree
• 1+ year of engineering experience beyond degree
• Willing to travel up to 10%
• On-call 24/7 for SCADA/Plant support

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SCADA systems for data centers and energy facilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements
• Troubleshoot hardware and software components of SCADA systems
• Perform testing, validation, and performance tuning
• Maintain documentation for system configurations and changes
• Provide training and support to end-users of SCADA systems
• Coordinate with IT and plant operations for reliability and security
• Ensure compliance with NERC CIP guidance
