Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flows across gas, solar, and wind assets.

You will maintain Ignition systems, manage OT SCADA hardware, and develop advanced analytics and visualizations of operational data. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years of experience, with mandatory expertise in Inductive Automation Ignition and AVEA PI, plus familiarity with RTU, OPC, Modbus, and related standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–6 years of OT/SCADA experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ignition and AVEA PI required.
• Experience with renewable and gas power systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA system, gateways, alarms, historian, and integrations.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, including servers and device configurations.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization.
• Troubleshoot OT connections between controls, RTUs, data loggers, etc.
• Maintain data connections between operations center, servers and SCADA peers.
• Coordinate with IT as primary operations contact.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and AI initiatives.
