Job summary

City of Atlanta Careers is seeking a senior IT professional to lead the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV, SCADA and DCS systems within the Department of Watershed Management.

This on-site role requires 3–4 years of related experience, an associate degree, and the ability to work 24/7 on-call with rotating shifts. The position emphasizes system security, documentation, and collaboration with Security and Network teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a computer or industrial systems field.
• 3–4 years of related work experience with SCADA and DCS systems in water/wastewater facilities.
• Strong understanding of computer systems and ability to learn SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads the installation, reception, and configuration of servers, networks, and equipment.
• Maintains CCTV, SCADA and DCS systems with ongoing upgrades.
• Coordinates with Security and Network teams to ensure project delivery.
• Keeps up-to-date with CCTV, SCADA and DCS technologies and best practices.
• Monitors system performance and data communication.
• Installs firewalls and networking gear to secure systems from cyber threats.
• Troubleshoots hardware and software for malfunctions (fiber, Cat6, low voltage).
• Diagnoses and resolves complex CCTV/SCADA/DCS issues.
• Manages access to system management interfaces to ensure security.
• Maintains maintenance logs, tests, and configuration documentation.
• Ensures safety standards compliance.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
