Job summary

Nexus Water Group is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for our Charlotte, NC office with hybrid opportunities within North Carolina. The role focuses on SCADA design, integration, and operational support across water and wastewater systems.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Engineering (preferably Electrical) and at least 3 years in operations with I&C and SCADA; a valid driver’s license is required. Join us for growth, strong benefits, and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Establish, document, deliver, and enforce adherence of design standards, cybersecurity policies, and SOPs for SCADA instrumentation and controls systems.
• Manage and maintain the Carolina Water Service SCADA environment to meet operational service levels.
• Maximize application adoption using root-cause analysis and continuous improvement methods.
• Work with Operations teams to develop tools to improve asset performance and reduce maintenance.
• Develop and maintain a long-term SCADA implementation plan across operating areas.
• Collaborate with IT on cybersecurity related to OT.
• Coordinate with capital projects to collect data on new construction and renovations.
