Job summary

Charlotte Water, an enterprise department of the City of Charlotte, is seeking a SCADA/ICS Engineer to design, program, commission, and integrate industrial control systems for water and wastewater facilities.

You will develop HMI/SCADA graphics, configure databases, troubleshoot PLC/SCADA hardware, and collaborate with operations, IT, and engineering teams. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 5 years’ related experience are required; a PE in NC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; master’s preferred.
• Five years of related work experience, preferably with position-related software.

Responsibilities

• Designs, programs, and commissions SCADA-based control systems.
• Supports process control improvements with stakeholders.
• Provides technical support for capital infrastructure projects.
• Coordinates internal/contract electrical staff.
• Troubleshoots plant control systems and equipment.
• Develops electrical and control system standards.
• Prepares CAD drawings and documentation.
