Job summary

E.W.P. Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Water & Wastewater Automation to service municipal facilities across the Carolinas.

You will work hands-on with PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and VFDs, supporting startups, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. Based in the Fort Mill/Charlotte metro area, you will travel extensively, troubleshoot complex systems, and collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electrical/automation
• 3+ years field service in industrial electrical/automation
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs
• Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA and industrial Ethernet

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, and commission control panels and automation systems
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation and communication systems
• Diagnose electrical and control-system issues using diagrams and test equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to service needs
• Document service activities and prepare field service reports
• Train customers in equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and customers
