Job summary

Tetra Tech in Houston, TX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to join our Systems Integration team. You will lead SCADA designs, write specifications, and develop drawings for system upgrades.

Responsibilities include configuring and programming PLCs and HMIs, performing SCADA simulations and startup support, and building strong client relationships. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred, with 2–10 years of automation experience and travel up to 25%.

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering.
• 2–10 years of automation experience with HMIs, PLCs, and SCADA integration.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for on-site activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA system designs, write specifications, and develop design drawings for SCADA system and network upgrades.
• Configure and program PLCs and HMIs, perform SCADA system simulation and testing, and provide startup assistance.
• Build solid relationships with clients and assist in development of SCADA master plans and standards for programming and design.
