Job summary

Tetra Tech Digital Systems is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to support offshore Gulf of America operations. This role leads design, programming, commissioning and optimization of industrial control systems for critical offshore facilities.

Responsibilities include designing, configuring, and commissioning PLC, HMI, SCADA systems; troubleshooting automation and process control; developing control narratives and system documentation; and collaborating with Operations, Engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or related field
• 8+ years of industrial automation experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and Studio 5000
• 5+ years of experience with Wonderware/AVEVA HMI systems
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, SCADA systems, industrial networking, and process control systems
• Offshore or upstream Oil & Gas automation experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, program, and commission PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and support automation, instrumentation, communications, and process control systems.
• Develop control narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, and system documentation.
• Support FAT, SAT, startup, commissioning, and operational reliability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and IT teams to deliver successful projects.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and cybersecurity.
