InterCommunity, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike focused on accessible, compassionate care in Connecticut.

The role centers on providing clinical services within the School Based Health Center, including individual and group therapy and trauma-informed care. The position requires a Master’s in Behavioral Health and CT licensure, with a schedule of Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 am–1:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or equivalent required with state licensure to practice clinically.
• Licensed in Connecticut for clinical social work or corresponding discipline is required or must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy within the school system for children enrolled in the SBHC.
• Provide education and training to school staff on trauma-informed care.
• Coordinate with school social workers, nursing staff, and administrators to support children.
• Develop psychosocial assessments through clinical interviews considering developmental, social, cultural, and medical factors.
• Develop treatment plans with measurable objectives.
• Deliver clinical treatment services including triage, crisis intervention, and family therapy as needed.
• Advocate and develop networks of social and clinical services to assist clients.
• Maintain treatment records and complete required documentation and reports.
