Job summary

InterCommunity, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center Look‑Alike (FQHC LA) delivering primary care and behavioral health services across Hartford area.

The role provides clinical services within the School Based Health Center, supporting children in the community. The position requires a Master’s in Behavioral Health and CT licensure in a relevant discipline, with a Monday–Friday schedule 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Health from an accredited university.
• CT licensure as Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist, or Substance Abuse Counselor.
• Must retain CT license to practice in the designated discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy within the school system for SBHC-registered children.
• Educate and train school staff on trauma-informed care; coordinate with school social workers and nurses.
• Develop treatment plans with measurable objectives and monitor progress.
• Provide triage, crisis intervention, and various therapy modalities (individual, group, family).
• Advocate and build networks to support clients' social and clinical needs.
• Maintain clinical records and ensure all required documentation.
• Attend mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings.
