Job summary

Bank of George seeks an SBA Loan Operations Specialist to manage SBA/USDA/Commercial loan boarding, system maintenance, and accurate reporting. The role ensures proper documentation, vendor payments, and seamless customer service while supporting senior management with data-driven reports.

The ideal candidate will have a BA in finance or related field, strong Excel and math skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in financial services or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of financial institution activities and banking regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Advanced math skills for interest calculations and reconciliations.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to handle complex problems with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Board SBA, USDA, and Commercial loans and manage maintenance on the SBA system.
• Prepare and balance monthly SBA 1502 report and USDA remittances.
• Balance daily SBA General Ledger accounts and review tolls and items.
• Prepare original note files for retention and manage vendor payments.
• Document and track loan ticklers during the boarding process.
• Assist loan officers and staff with loan servicing inquiries and issues.
• Provide superior customer service via phone, email, and in person.
• Gather data and prepare reports for Senior Management and audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
