Job summary

KeyBank is seeking an SBA Lead Service Officer to support SBA Relationship Managers in borrower outreach and closing coordination. You will own the loan closing process, collect documentation, and liaise with counsel, title, and closing teams to ensure timely, compliant closings.

The role emphasizes client service, risk awareness, and continuous improvement while maintaining strong collaboration with internal partners across SBA, credit, and operations.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of related work experience with basic financial services knowledge.
• General knowledge of Banking products and services.
• Basic knowledge of SBA processes and SOPs (preferred).
• Strong MS Office skills and familiarity with banking tools.

Responsibilities

• Support SBA RMs by coordinating loan closings and documentation.
• Gather required documents from borrowers for SBA closing.
• Coordinate with outside counsel, escrow, title, and closing groups.
• Ensure packages are complete and funds are disbursed after closing.
• Monitor exceptions and drive process improvements.
