Interfor is hiring for a Sawmill Production Team in Bay Springs, Mississippi. We’re seeking reliable, safety-conscious individuals ready to grow into roles such as general labor, machine operator and forklift operator.

Starting wage is $19.32 per hour with potential to reach $28.93 per hour based on skill and experience. Responsibilities include cleanup and ground maintenance, helping keep lumber flow by adjusting cross-ups, and developing skills across machine centers as you grow within the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred.
• Prior manufacturing/warehouse/lumber operations experience preferred.
• Able and willing to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, climbing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete clean-up and ground maintenance of regularly assigned area.
• Assist with keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill by straightening lumber cross-ups using a pickaxe or chain saw, as necessary.
• Develop skills across various machine centers and take on new responsibilities as you grow within the company.
• Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the supervisor.

The successful candidates will be reliable, committed, and eager to grow into various positions, including general labor, machine operator and forklift operator positions. The starting rate for this position is $19.32 per hour with the potential to grow to $28.93 per hour based on skill level and experience.
