Job summary

Salm Partners is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee blending operations on the shift, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient production of ready-to-eat meats. You will lead the blending team, coordinate with maintenance and QA, and drive performance against daily targets.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of leadership in a USDA-FSIS regulated plant, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with meat blending processes.

Qualifications

• USDA-FSIS regulated meat manufacturing experience required.
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience in a food plant.
• Experience with meat blending operations or ready-to-eat processed meats preferred.
• Meat technology knowledge and ability to troubleshoot blend-quality issues strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee blending operations on the shift to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Ensure compliance with safety, SQF, GMP and USDA requirements.
• Review shift metrics and communicate performance to the team and partners.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to resolve equipment problems and improve throughput.
• Supervise the Blending Team Leader and Operators; coach and develop Partners.
