Job summary

Eutelsat Group seeks a User Terminal Operations Engineer to provide Tier 3 support for terminal service and operations, spanning firmware releases, deployments, and collaborative optimization with engineering teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on terminal support, on-site engagement with partners, and occasional travel. Strong Linux/Python skills and a background in SatCom are required, with a degree in engineering and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

Experience with SatCom and RF technologies.
Experience with IP networks (routing and switching).
Working knowledge of Linux OS and Python programming.
Degree in related engineering field.
Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 3 Operations Engineer support for User Terminal Service and Operations troubleshooting.
Plan and test firmware and software releases for UTs.
Deliver hands-on training of new features and user terminals to Operations Team and partners.
Collaborate with Dev and System Engineering to improve UT performance.
Investigate and reproduce issues with UT vendors’ engineers.
Create and maintain documentation of standards and processes.
Assist with installation and configuration of user terminals on-site.
Engage with Distribution Partners on-site for support.
Support on-call rotations for high-priority escalations.
Travel up to 20% of the time.
