Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and qualify processes for building, testing and launching satellites and subsystems. The role emphasizes manufacturability, process validation and collaboration with design, manufacturing and supply chain teams.

You will help create work instructions, BOMs and SOPs, and you will drive the transition of hardware builds from low-rate initial production to higher-rate production in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or 3+ years in mechanical manufacturing engineering in aerospace/automotive or commercial industries.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes by studying requirements, designing, modifying and testing methods and equipment.
• Review designs for manufacturability and production scalability.
• Create and maintain work instructions, bills of materials and SOPs to support manufacturing and supply chain.
• Coordinate and implement new engineering principles and technologies.
• Lead design solutions and transition hardware builds from low-rate to higher-rate production.
