Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, seeks a Leader of Manufacturing for Avionics to guide satellite avionics and electro-mechanical assembly. You will lead manufacturing engineers and technicians, ensuring safe production, high quality, and on-time delivery across LRIP to high-rate production.

The role reports to Manufacturing leadership and partners across the organization. You will manage budgets, drive continuous improvement, and support proposals for future contracts while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years’ experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, test engineering materials and process engineering, or similar field in Aerospace, Automotive, or Commercial industries.
• Subject matter expertise in harnessing, PCB assemblies, structural assembly, structural bonding, mechanisms, or composite honeycomb machining.
• High level of proficiency in MRP/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of satellite manufacturing engineering principles and concepts.
• Experience working with a union represented workforce.
• U.S. Citizenship required to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to manufacturing personnel to ensure safe, high-quality production while meeting cost goals.
• Monitor health of Manufacturing and Production: capacity, workforce, throughput, bottlenecks.
• Oversee avionics and electro-mechanical manufacturing integration and assembly.
• Define and execute continuous improvement strategies to meet business objectives.
• Lead transition of hardware build from LRIP to higher rate production and to different locations.
• Support proposals and participate in the gate review process; ensure AS9100 quality practices.
