Job summary

SpaceX is hiring an RF/Microwave Engineer for Satellites (Starlink) in Redmond. You will design, implement, and verify electrical hardware for satellites and ground communication systems, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to tackle high-performance wireless designs.

You will simulate RF links, work with system architects, and contribute to regulatory and test activities, drawing on experience in RF/microwave circuits, simulation tools, and programming in Python or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or related field.
• 1+ years RF/microwave circuit design experience.
• 1+ years in 3D EM tools (CST, HFSS, FEKO, SEMCAD, EMPro, TICRA or XFDTD).

Responsibilities

• Simulate and model communication systems.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, DSP, and ASIC engineers to partition functions between hardware and software.
• Derive top-level RF link specifications and analyze performance.
• Provide support to regulatory, coordination and market access teams.
