Job summary

SpaceX's Starlink program is seeking an RF software engineer to join a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team. You will design, build, and automate RF capabilities for proliferated communications and remote sensing in low earth orbit, collaborating with RF, DSP, FPGA, hardware, and software engineers.

You will develop test benches, participate in performance modeling, and help take designs from proof-of-concept to production, applying SpaceX's rapid iteration mindset to real-world space hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.
• 1+ years of professional development in C/C++ or Python.
• 1+ years of experience with RF test equipment and antennas/communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive RF system design decisions at the program level.
• Research novel solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems.
• Build and automate RF test benches for full characterization of RF designs.
• Develop modular RF test infrastructure and test automation in Python and C++.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software engineers to validate RF systems.
• Create electromagnetic simulation models to evaluate performance.
