Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an RF Software Engineer for Starlink to design and build RF capabilities for proliferated communications and remote sensing in low Earth orbit. You will work with RF, DSP, software, and hardware engineers and end users in a fast-paced team applying SpaceX's mindset of rapid iteration to move from design and demo to operational capability.

You will drive tests, automate RF test benches, and develop Python and C++ tooling while coordinating across disciplines to validate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of professional development in C/C++ or Python.
• 1+ years of experience with RF test equipment and measurement.
• 1+ years of RF experience with antennas or communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive program-level decisions on RF system designs.
• Research novel solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems.
• Design, build, validate, and automate RF test benches for full characterization of RF designs.
• Design modular, scalable RF test infrastructure and automation sequences in Python and C++.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software engineers to validate RF systems.
• Create electromagnetic simulation models of hardware to evaluate performance.
